With just about 10 hours to go before the federal government will shut down…

It’s become crystal clear that there are at least two “DINO’S” (That’s Democrat in Name Only in the Senate.  Chuck Schumer and John Fetterer have publicly said they will vote to let Trump’s minions win in this chaos-inducing game of “kill America.”  People like Robert Reich and other respected, intelligent, and perceptive people describing that our government is already essentially shut down as long as the Trumpster allows Elon Musk to continue taking his chainsaw to one department after another.  (At least, until the courts step in and order them to rehire all those they illegally and unConstitutionally fired – which raises a whole, new question:  Will Trump tell the judicial branch to go to Hell unless they rule in favor of him?)  Since it’s already broken – perhaps beyond easy repair – why give Trump another victory like this?

It’s like it’s 1993 all over again.  Harry Reid tried to convince Americans that he was “getting tough” with Republicans with the “nuclear option.”  But what he didn’t say out loud dealt with his failure, cowardice, or just stupidity to not allow that same “option” to apply to Supreme Court nominees.  And that failure – when Harry Reid rolled over like a dog with his legs in the air and his tail between his legs – is EXACTLY why we have the warped SCOTUS we now have.

And here is Chuck Schumer, doing the exact same thing. (Fetterman doesn’t really much matter; he seems more interested in always playing the “outlier” to ANYTHING that seems logical and prudent.)  Let Trump have it all.  Cave in once again.  Prove to the world that most Democrats simply prove – over and over again – that they are incapable of governing.

God, I hope there are less than five more DINO’s in the Senate like these two poor excuses of leadership right now.  (And Mr. Schumer?  If AOC primaries you like is already being discussed?  You earned your retirement and none of us will miss you at all.)
