Our infantile, narcissistic, sociopath of a President – the Liar-in-Chief causing a fresh round of chaos and confusion with every new day – was largely elected due to unquestioning support from America’s evangelical Christians.  They are the ones who have claimed that Trump is somehow “ordained by God” to be President.  Until yesterday, for some of them.

Turns out it didn’t take very long for the buyer’s remorse to set in.  A bunch of news sites are reporting how Trump’s illegal executive order “Realigning the United State Refugee Admission Program” isn’t sitting well with these same Evangelicals.  Newsweek reported it this way:  “Christian and Evangelical organizations are urging the Trump administration to reverse its executive order targeting refugees, telling Newsweek that the president is conflating illegal immigration with a decades-old U.S. policy he formerly endorsed.”

I guess these folks haven’t yet figured out that they – like so many others – have simply been played.  They’ve been used by Trump to get what he wants, and he could give a diddly damn about any “urging” they might want to do.  Which serves and one more bit of damning evidence that raises the question:  Are evangelicals REALLY as dumb as they appear?  They think Trump is going to listen to them?  At least the U.S. Catholic Bishops seem to be aware that Vance being Catholic guarantees nothing – other than the fact that HE also will lie to God and the church.

And it was also reported how 52% of U.S. Evangelicals still agree with Trump’s statement that “Illegal Immigrants are POISONING the BLOOD of America.  How can anyone claim to be a follower of Jesus and yet believe a statement like this?  One that Trump stole almost whole cloth from Adolph Hitler?  It’s true:  Ya can’t fix stupid.  And that about sums it up for the Evangelical Church anymore
