Stacy Abram’s has just lost the campaign for Governor of Georgia.

Yep; go ahead and call the governor’s race in Georgia for Brian Kemp right now. Stacy Abrams is done.  Toast.  Hung and dried.  Crispy fried.  Stick a fork in her, she’s done.  Turns out that her multi-year “fight to draw attention to voting inequities” – all done on your behalf, Georgians  (cough, cough) served for her to pay a close friend’s boutique law firm more than $9.4 million bucks.  (That’s with only 2019 and 2020 reported; when data from 2021 and 2022 is available, it will no doubt go up substantially.)

Maybe it’s just me; but if you are a Democrat running for the highest office in the state and a major part of your “message” is the dirty, underhanded ways the Republicans have been running things, then one of the LAST things you would want is for the news to break that you’ve been using a non-profit organization to enrich a friend.  There’s essentially no way to shake my head enough at something this stupid.

Sorry Ms. Abrams; you just handed the election to Brian Kemp and there’s really no one to blame but yourself.  That parable about the glass house and throwing rocks thing applies here.
