The news all day has had its fill of Tiger Woods – that’s undoubtedly true.  But kudos and thanks to Katie Couric tonight on the CBS Evening News in her coverage of this sad tale:  She pronounced “Ponte Vedra Beach, FL” correctly… the first I’ve heard in many newscasts through the day.  Those of us who live there – or have lived there – know that it’s “Ponna Veedra Beach.”  It’s not… all those other crazy pronunciations you folks have littered the airwaves with all day.

Thanks Katie – for at the very least having someone do enough background research to talk to a few folks who have lived along Florida A1A…  And besides, who can hate a Network Anchor who has the guts to pose for a pic like this?
