Is it possible that someone could look at John Edwards and Sarah Palin and see two peas in a pod? Two sides of the same coin? Two people from the extremes of the socio-political spectrum that are somehow eerily alike?

Timothy Egan sees exactly that in his Opinionator Blog article in the NY Times today.

Worth thinking about.  To say the least.  A bit frightening once you think about it.
