Anyone who remembers the 1999 film “The Matrix” remembers the choice Morpheus offered Neo:  “You take the blue pill – the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill – you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.“

What I simply cannot figure out, as I watch and read the news every single day that continues to show us that our “new” government in Washington has simply lost their minds… What I somehow missed sometime in the past two weeks… What seems like we all must be living in some kind of “Matrix” alternate reality…

When did I take the “red pill” and begin to feel like Alice tumbling farther and farther down a rabbit hole where our nation seems hell bent on destroying itself?  We simply cannot be living in a real, adult, responsible world, if a person like Tulsi Gabbard (who won’t – or can’t – even answer a “yes” or “no” question dealing with Edward Snowden), is seriously being considered for Director of National Intelligence.  Our Senate is going to confirm this woman to what is perhaps them most sensitive intelligence post in the western world?  Simply because Elon Musk wants her?  (When did we vote for him to rule the world anyway?)

No way, not a chance… can any of this craziness happen in a world where we didn’t take a red pill and fall down the rabbit hole into the Matrix.
