Am I really reading the breaking headlines correctly?

“President Donald Trump upended three years of U.S. policy toward Ukraine on Wednesday, saying that he and Russian President Vladimir Putin had agreed to begin negotiations on ending the war following a dramatic prisoner swap.  Trump said in a social media post that he and Putin had a lengthy phone call during which they committed to “work together, very closely” to bring the conflict to an end.”

Since when does Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin – despite their shared megalomania and clinical narcissism – decide what will happen with another sovereign nation like Ukraine?  I find it hard to fathom that the majority of the 200 some sovereign nation states on our planet aren’t screaming at the top of their lungs about this – basically “Not only no!  But Hell No!  The two wanna-be bullies on the planet do NOT get to speak for and decide the future of everyone else!”

Has Putin already won?  Is the world simply going to stand by and shake its collective head while Russia’s dictator pulls on Puppet Trump’s strings?

SMFH… Someone tell me we are experiencing the same, collective nightmare.
