On January 20th, our Sociopath-in-Chief put his hand on a Bible and recited this oath: “I Donald John Trump do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”
(Correction: It was pointed out to me that Trump did NOT place his hand on the Bible when he recited the oath that he’s already violated more than once. CBS news reported that first lady Melania Trump (the one doing the Antonio Banderas “Zoro” imitation in this picture) held two Bibles, which Trump apparently ignored – which raises the really interesting question: Why have them in the first place if he’s not going to place his hand upon them? Perhaps he’s simply using the Bible as a “prop” like he’s done before?)
And in the first month of his Presidency he has issued numerous executive orders that clearly violate his oath of office. He’s shredded the Emolument clause, shown utter disdain for the 4th, 14th, 22nd Amendments to the Constitution, attempted to take over and supplant the judiciary branch of our government… in short, he’s clearly shown himself to be the traitor that he is.
My only question at this point? Where the hell are the Democrats? They should be screaming from the top of their lungs from the Capitol steps, yet almost all of them are missing in action! The Democrats in our House of Representatives should be – right damn now – presenting articles of impeachment against this lying traitor. And then when republican sycophants in thrall to Trump fail to do anything with them, then they should issue another article of impeachment, then another… and another and another… essentially the Democrats in Congress should stop EVERYTHING except repeated articles of impeachment against Trump. Sooner or later a republican or two will come to their senses, (or wake up to how much damage is currently begin done to our republic) and the razor thin margin allowing this liar to continue his evil and immoral power grab will evaporate.
Impeach him, convict him, throw him out of the White House, then put him in prison. Why aren’t our elected Democrats doing what is so clearly needed? Are they truly that inept and cowardly? God help us if they do what Harry Reid did in 2013 – roll over with his legs in the air when faced with republicans willing and eager for the fight they are now winning. Wake up folks… before it’s too late.
