While we’re on the subject…

While we’re on the subject of Trump’s lies and how that seems to be setting the standard for his entire collection of sycophants (administration)… Did anyone catch the subtle lie contained in the AP article about air traffic controllers?

Seems Elon Musk and this whole “kill the government” effort wants to get rid of them also.  “Air traffic controllers were initially offered buyouts and told to consider leaving government.”  That was what FAA employees were told by Trump’s “clean up” crew just one day before the horrible mid-air collision between the American Airlines Canadair regional jet and an Army Blackhawk helicopter.

But now when political clean up has begun after the crash (and hey, don’t blame me here:  Trump is the one who almost immediately turned this tragedy into a political hand grenade he could lob at his detractors), “An official for the Office for Personnel Management, the U.S. government’s human resources arm, said Friday that controllers weren’t eligible for the resignation plan or subject to the hiring freeze across much of the rest of federal government.”

So… Hmmm… who to believe?  Air traffic controllers who have absolutely no reason nor upside to lie to reporters?  Or Trump’s people, from whom we might as well begin knowing that they are lying every time their lips are moving?  Not a hard choice, is it?
